GBH tickets

Legendary punk rockers GBH are headed back to North America this year with a small string of dates across the US. The band helped shape street punk into what it is today when they first formed in 1978, and they’ve been rocking ever since. They’ll be coming to the Gramercy Theatre in NYC this November, so don’t miss it! Seriously, I better see you there.

GBH, previously named Charged GBH, has built quite a legacy over the years. They’re remembered as pioneers of the street punk genre and have gone on to influence countless bands in both punk and beyond. But just because they’ve got a legacy already doesn’t mean they’re done rockin’ out – no, not even a little bit. They’re about to set out on a rather extensive US tour later this year, so grab your moshing shoes! They’ll be at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City on November 7th… will you?

GBH

There are very few punk bands with the same legacy and far reaching influence as GBH. The band has often been categorized as the founders of street punk, but punks weren’t the only ones influenced by their music – GBH has long been cited as a major influence for the “big four” of thrash metal, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax. James Hetfield of Metallica has stated time and time again how essential the band was to his development as a musician, so their contributions to alternative music shouldn’t ever be overstated.

And now, fans have the chance to see them in all their glory once again as the one and only GBH make their way back to the US for the first time in a while. The band will be kicking off an American tour leg later this year with a show in Phoenix, Arizona at the Crescent Ballroom, and the tour will come to a screeching halt when they hit up the Exit/In in Nashville, Tennessee, but you can catch them when they touch down in the Big City for a performance at the Gramercy Theatre. Don’t miss it!

GBH are one of the most important and influential bands among the first wave of punk rock in the UK. They were known for their fast and aggressive lyrics and playing style, with one of their more controversial songs being based on the Andes Flight Disaster of 1972. They were heavily influential in both punk and metal, with countless bands from Green Day to Metallica getting major inspiration from them.

And this year, these Birmingham punks are headed straight to you, New York City! For the first time in two long years, GBH are making their way back across the Great Atlantic for another stretch of shows scattered throughout the latter half of this year. After that, they’ll be moving back closer to home for a few European shows in the new year. Be sure to grab yourself some tickets to their show in New York City on November 7th at the Gramercy Theatre. Be there!
